An anonymous source told The Hill on Thursday that a Chinese cyberattack is targeting the U.S. government’s national information system.
The source told the Hill that the attack has affected information systems at the Department of Homeland Security and the Department for Energy, as well as the U,S.
Department of Commerce, the U’s Office of Management and Budget and the Federal Reserve.
The source, who has been authorized to speak to The Hill and is a U. S. government official, also said the attack appears to be related to the U s cybersecurity.
The cyberattack comes just a few weeks after the US. revealed a major hack into the Chinese government’s cyber intelligence agency.
The cyberattack also took place after Chinese hackers penetrated the U ‘s National Security Agency and stole emails and other data from the agency.
